acer m1610 upgrade

i have an acer aspire m1610 desktop on vista with 2gb ram i would like to start to upgrade . not to expencive .
what should i start with first
this is my first upgrade my pc has served me well but i think i should start to upgrade , is this a good idea? and what parts should i get
any help please

well its a older pc so, start with getting 4gbs (total) of ram, depending what else your do, and if you're using intergrated graphics, a cheap 20 dollar video card can really help bolster every day tasks too.

i was wondering if i should go down the road of a new mother board is that a worthwhile road
i had thought of adding new pieces slowly instead of getting new pc is that a good idea with what i have or not?

well spend 40 dollars or so to get your computer going a little bit more, then id just start saving about 400-500 dollars and build a new pc.
