Original Xbox trouble

I have an Xbox 360 slim and I have original Xbox game (Mech Assault 2) but it won't let me connect to the servers were they shut down??

I think all remaining original XBox multiplayer servers were shut down back in 2010, so no online multiplayer for original XBox games.
