hi guys
i want to build the best possible gaming rig for 600$ or less. I want to overclock. Ivy bridge or Haswell build.

this 600$ should include
cpu
mobo
ram
hdd
gpu

I prefer an Intel based rig

This is what i have in mind

i hope you guys can help me

thank you

Honestly, the cuts you'd need to make to be able to overclock on an Intel build at this price bracket are too extreme, in my opinion. You could get a much more powerful GPU by going AMD and accepting a weaker CPU (which is acceptable, given that GPU is the primary factor for gaming):

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($119.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock 970 EXTREME4 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($63.89 @ Amazon)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($64.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card ($259.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $580.85
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Yep, listen to Jack. getting Intel k CPU will leave you with a weak GPU, not balanced any at all. Yet, before giving out a balanced build ( big chance is that an AMD CPU will be included, unless you scrap the idea of OC-ing then we can make a build with i5 3350p ), what PSU do you already have?

I am a newbie but i dont actually lik amd cause all of my friends have intel based rigs, but if amd is reliable and i can get a better build why not, idont have any psu yet but my main parts will determine the wattage. Can i still get good performance if i build an intel based rig with no OC?
