Hi :). I recently reinstalled Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, then I've updated it with all important and optional updates, then drivers...etc. But I've a problem with many programs like Windows media player,Windows photo viewer and others like Skype,VLC and yahoo. The thing is that when I open a video(with vlc or media player),it's just crashing, with the classic "...has stopped working" message. It happens as well with windows photo viewer but it says that "COM Surrogate has stopped working"(B.T.W. Paint works well).
Only music runs fine with vlc and media player(either flac or mp3). But the videos, nope. :(
Also,I have 2 partitions: C:\ (windows) and D:\ (other files). When I reinstalled,I've just reformated C but I've keeped the files from D (music, movies, photos and games). And about the codecs, before reinstallation,I had K-lite codecs. But it doesn't affect the new install right?
I don't know if the problems were before installing drivers or windows updates because I haven't tried the programs.
So,can anybody help me to fix this problem please?
P.S. Almost forgot, skype and yahoo crash only when I log in my account(weird).
