Hi

I've decided to switch to PC gaming, something I should have done years ago. I have very limited knowledge (learning as I go) but a few friends who 'claim' to know a lot building rigs are in disagreement.

One has suggested the build BELOW, with two others saying it won't work together.
So any constructive feedback and criticism will be appreciated. If anyone has suggestions on changing certain components or have their own system suggestion, this too will also be appreciated :)

What I want from a system:
- Capable of running games on higher end settings.
- Graphics/Visuals are important.
- Reducing the chance of needing to upgrade in the short term (future proof, if such a thing is even possible).
- Other: the games I play are 95% FPS.
- BUDGET: AUD$1500-1800. I don't want to spend too much more that AUD$2000 for everything including peripherals etc.

The system recommended:

Intel Core i5 4670k LGA1150 3.4Ghz 6MB
Asus Z87-PRO 4xDDR3 16xPCI-E SATA3 6xUSB3.0 8CH AUDIO
Kingston HyperX 8GB 1866Mhz
Seagate Sata 3 2TB
Intel 520S 180GB
ASUS GTX770 OC Edition
Corsair HX 850 v2 850W ATX Power Supply, 80 PLUS GOLD
SATA DVD RW / ASUS

I don't see a reason why it won't work together, all parts are compatible with each other. A 850w power supply is a bit overpowered tho. A 750W one would do just fine.
