Hey All,

I was just wondering for some quick input. I currently have a HD 6870, and my significant other has the same card. I was hoping to get her to buy a new card, while I crossfire her 6870. My question is would that get me any noticeable "bang" in performance?

My options;

1) Get a new card for the GF ($200) and buy a new PSU for myself ($100), and crossfire two ATI HD 6870.

2) Skip the crossfire and new PSU and just buy a new card in the $200-$300 range.

Thoughts, opinions, insights?

Cheers,

A single GPU is always more stable than crossfire. With $300 you can get a HD 7950, you get more VRAM (good for high resolution gaming or multi monitors) and if you overclock the card it can outperform 2x 6870.
