Can't find my Wifi icon and can't connect to internet

Hiya,

I have had this laptops few years and it's works on and off. It was fine yesterday but today the Wifi connection icon isn't showing at the bottom therefore it isn't connecting to my Wifi. I know there isn't an issue with the wifi itself because I can connect all my other electrical devices on it.
It is driving me insane!
Anyone got any ideas?

Check the physical wifi hardware on/off switch if you have it, also check device manager to make sure the wifi drivers are installed and working, check the laptop shortcut key to turn on/off wifi. If none of those work, reboot again and see if the icon comes back on, can also get to the wifi settings though network options in control panel if it's just an issue with the icon not showing up and not an issue with the wifi hardware or drivers.

Uninstall and re-install the drivers for the card, delete it from device manager. If you tried it all already, you can just get an add-on wifi card.
