Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me in deciding which of these two Galaxy 670 GC's would be better for me? As far as I can tell, the two cards are identical other than one card has 2 fans, while the other only has 1. Then again, I am pretty new at this.

Here is the card with only one fan.

Here is the card with two fans.

Could you guys maybe help me out here and let me know what the difference between the two are? I was previously set on an ASUS 660ti for my upcoming build, but noticed with this sale that for only 30 dollars more I can get a 670 that from what I've read will out perform a reference 680.

Is the difference in price between these two cards worth it?

I will be purchasing:
3570k
ASrock Extreme 4
8gb 1866 mhz Gskills RAM
Raidmax 730W SS
Samsung 840 120gb SSD
Rosewill Challenger U3
-Whatever GPU I end up choosing

I will only be running a single 1080p monitor and will mainly be building this rig for BF4. I also want to have the ability to OC, but I do not plan on it until it is necessary or until I am forced to.

Also, any suggestions anyone may have on my build will be appreciated.

Thank you!

id first of all fill out the build template for your rig in my signature. that way i can configure the entire rig rather than just tell you what GPU to get. right now there are some serious flaws in your rig

heres what i would get
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/19Unm

-you will need the heatsink to overclock. the stock cooler barely cuts it for stock speeds
-upgraded to the haswell platform for not much more. if you want to stick to ivy bridge, then id get this. if i were you i would spend that extra 10 bucks
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/19UoL
-cheaper SSD that performs the same if not better
-a 120gb SSD wont cut it for storage. you have to have a hard drive unless all you plan on storing is the OS, apps, and 1 or 2 games
-better value of a GPU
-better case for cheaper
-way better psu

I was actually looking toward that SSD beforehand, and yes I know I will need more than a 120gb SSD but for now it is all I can afford and that is okay seeing as I plan on buying a HDD a month or so after. I am still curious however as to which GPU would be better off for me to buy.

Thanks for the input. So is there no difference between those 2 galaxy 670's? Just that one is twin fan, while the other has a single fan? I assume, which would be for better cooling?

if you can afford a 670, id suggest getting the sapphire 7970 instead for 320. much better value

back to the cards, the one with 2 fans cool better than the one with a single blower fan. however, when you have a case with poor airflow (which isnt true in my build), the blower fan will be a better choice

Thanks for the heads up on that case! I went ahead and actually ordered it tonight. I will be picking up the Galaxy 670 GC for 294.99 this next week.

I have the same mobo, I recently did a bios update since I bought mine when Z77 was fresh in the market. Ran into problems only when I tried to stay on the original BIOS before updating.

its smarter to go the 7970 route. a ton of free games and it performs better as well

I just saw this actually. Are they anticipating a 760 Ti version as well? It seems a SC 660Ti can still keep up, but that is against a reference NVidia 760. Would you think its best to go with the new 700 series?

I would have no hesitation on going with a 760 and the TI will be released once Amd releases something to compete against it. Probably after Christmas.

Oh I assumed they would release it soon. Seems like I am going to be able to save a couple bucks and go with a 760 than. Will I have any problems getting 60+ FPS in 1900x1080? In atleast MidHigh settings for BF4?

BF4 looks exactly like BF3 so i dont see you having any problem getting 60fps on ultra with BF4.
