My rig consists of a i7-3770k, B75 MB, 8gb 1600 RAM, SSD and GTX 650 Ti Boost. I was looking to upgrade my gaming performance a bit and was going back and forth between buying a GTX 660 Ti (ASUS DCII OC) for $230 or a GTX 670 (EVGA FTW 2gb) for $280. I was sold on the 670 at that price until I thought it was overkill for a single 1080p screen which led me to look at the 660 Ti. Now I heard somewhere one should refrain from upgrading unless there is a three step improvement which is honestly somewhat lost on me. With the addition of the new 700 series, namely the GTX 760 (2gb) at $249 what is the best card to get, out of these three, and/or is there anyone who thinks the upgrade isn't worth it? I game at 1080p on a single 60hz screen. I am thinking 670>760>660ti so at that rate $280>$250>$230 they seem to fall in line with current pricing. Now it comes down to performance per $ AKA value. I don't plan on going to a 2560x1440 monitor anytime soon nor going to three-monitors on this GPU. Just one 1080p screen and at 60hz. I am going off reviews which lead me towards the 760 over the 660 Ti but I assume for $30 the GTX 670 is a much better buy, even though I might not see the extra performance. What do you all think? I need help!

I am inclined to agree with you. So I guess I am putting my slightly used, 3 month old GTX 650 Ti Boost 2gb online for $110 and going for the GTX 670 and spend $170. I bought the i7-3770k the day the 4670k/4770k came out for $229 and feel kind of foolish, kind of smart to buy the old generation hardware since I seem to be getting the best deal among the slow moving, many model market. I don't have a 700 or a Haswell but I did save myself some $ while getting better stuff. Thanks to the info on this site of course which has been the best resource for me building my first PC. BTW Windows 8 is the worst decision I made this year.
