Hi
I am building my new gaming pc. Here is the rig:
fx 6300
msi-g46
CM thunder 600w
4X2 gb ddr3 ram clocked at 1330 mhz
I am confused between graphics card. At first i was planning to buy hd 7770. But in one of my thread i got to know that it wasn,t much powerful. So i have a choice between these. please select one:
1.gainward gtx 650ti 2gb
http://www.flipkart.com/gainward-nvidia-geforce-gtx-650-ti-2-gb-gddr5-graphics-card/p/itmdgszzwejzhqxh?pid=GRCDGSZAVZHFWMYU&ref=8adcc8b5-2d83-42d4-af29-5aa63f1ff100

2.power color hd 6950 2gb

3.gigabyte hd 7790 2gb oc

4.xfx hd7850 2gb

5. forsa gtx 560ti 1gb

6. msi gtx 660 2gb oc
http://www.snapdeal.com/product/msi-n6602gd5oc-graphic-card/1386393?pos=0;167

All are gddr5 .Cannot go above that price range. Most of you would say a hd 7850 or gtx 660 . But then i think my cpu would create a bottleneck. But then i am gonna overclock my cpu to 4.5 Ghz and its 6 cores. Thanks in advance.

the nvidia gtx660 would be the best option you can get from these all ....after cpu overclocking ,it won't have any bottlenecking issues.you'll get a better performance from all of them if you buy a 660..and yes ,buy a zotac one and just don't go with brands like pny ,msi , gainward etc. if you live in india cause zotac has a good after sales service (via aditya infotech) in india .go with gtx660 (oc if you need ) and enjoy gaming

Hey zotac is very expensive. The only reason i thought of buying a gtx 660 was beacause msi was offering it at a very low price . I would go for a 7870 rather than buyingf any zotac . And i dont consider msi and gainward to be bad brands . They are also very good. And if you say about product quality than better consider evga.
Well leave it . how much performance drop would i see from gtx 660 to hd 7850 and how much in hd 7790 (in fps).
At 1600 X 900 and ultra settings in bf3, skyrim and upcoming games like gta 5 and watch dogs

Upcoming games don't have benchmarks yet because they're upcoming. You'll probably also have a hard time finding benchmarks for games at ultra and 1600x900. Ultra is usually benchmarked at 1920x1080, 1920x1200, 2560x1440, 2560x1600 or 5760x1080. The GTX660 will be consistently faster across everything though, current games and upcoming. And you're right - MSI are excellent quality. My friend's parents have my old MSI MX460 from 2003 and it's still running.

msi gtx660 oc outperforms all cards except an hd 7870 which is quite faster card .and i'm not saying that msi is a bad brand .i just suggested zotac considering after sales service ..i also have an msi motherboard and its a good brand ..well back to graphic card ,i think if you have some extra money to spend than the hd 7870 will give you fluency in fps with very high settings at 1080p and will be worth considering ...if not then the msi gtx660 2gb oc is also a good card

don't buy an hd 7850..buy a gtx660 instead and if you want ultra at 1600*900 in modern and upcoming games my suggestion still would be a sapphire radeon hd 7870 1gb ddr5 ..its worth considering .

Some questions are in my mind. Answer them and remember not to give any suggestion about other crad:
1. Is gts 650ti boost better than 7850.
2. Is 7790 better than 650ti boost.
3. Is gtx 560 better than 650 ti boost.
4. Is hd 6950 better than 7850.
5. Is hd 6950 better than gtx 660.
6. Is gtx 560ti better than gtx 660(non ti)
7. Is hd 6870 better than hd 7850.

Answer all of them point wise.Dont consider the features and dont tell that some are dead. Tell which is better in terms of performance only.

1. Equal
2. No - 7790 is slower.
3. No - GTX560 is slower.
4. No - 6950 is slower.
5. Same as 4.
6. No - GTX560 Ti is slower.
7. No - 6870 is slower.

For your reference, GTX650 Ti Boost and 7850 are comparable to GTX570 or 6970.

I'm not sure how you're deciding which card is better. Are you simply saying the more expensive card must be better? I think you're lacking understanding here.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_650_Ti_Boost/25.html

And as you can see here, GTX560 Ti is indeed better than GTX650 Ti, but not as good as GTX650 Ti Boost.

All cards overclock (and the amount of RAM doesn't affect that). How much of an overclock you get from the card is always a gamble. There's no guarantee your's will overclock the same as the reviewer's. It varies by what part of the silicon wafer the die was cut from after fabrication. You'll certainly be able to get at least a little extra from either card, but no guarantees how much. Keep in mind also overclocking will void warranty.

will amd fx-6300 clocked at 3.5 Ghz bottleneck gtx 650ti boost. I was going to overclock it to 4.5 Ghz. But now i fear to overclock it as you said overclocking voids the warranty. is there any risk in overclocking amd fx 6300 to 4.5 Ghz. I am going to use a cpu cooler.
