So my budget for this build is somewhere between $800 to $870. I don't really trust mail-in rebate but I'll do them anyway; the build can't rely too much on mail-in rebates. I plan to start purchasing and building sometime after July 7th-ish.

A build I have planned out right now is: (I will be updating this as I get more feedback.)

I already have a mouse.

I was wondering if this is the best I could get for my budget. If not, recommendations would be great. Also, are all these parts compatible? (Not just sockets, but sizes. Ex: cooler w/ case, video card w/ case.) Hopefully the prices won't change too drastically in the next couple weeks.

That goes greatly over my budget and doesn't include an operating system and monitor. That would be about $1100; my budget is $800 to $870.

I was thinking about the Radeon HD 7870 but i researched a 'lil and I found that the GTX 660 performs somewhat better than the Radeon HD 7870 (correct?).

You may add your monitor and keyboard, but if you too tight on budget, get better with fx6300, it won't cost you too much.

Updated my first post - I mainly changed the graphics card from Asus GTX 660 to Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition. I'm still open to any feedback, thanks.

I did a huge update to my build. I took out both my CPU and Motherboard (changing from AMD to Intel.) Right now, I'm picking out parts, but suggestions would be great.

Actually, I'm gonna stick with the previous parts until I gain more information on Intel processors. I'm still open to any improvements and suggestions!

Any other suggestions? Remember, I need to know if everything is compatible, especially if the cooler and graphics card is able to fit in the case.

Oh, I also removed the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus Cooler for budget reasons. Do I really need an aftermarket cooler and how well does the stock cooler for the FX-6300 perform?

Changed video card, case, and power supply. Managed to get rid of all mail in rebates with a good price of $850 - hopefully the prices won't change too much after a week.

How many times do we have to tell you? NO JUNK POWER SUPPLIES!!! If the power supply fails it normally takes your whole system with it. Get the XFX 550W. Its 39.99 after rebates and is much better than rosewill, raidmax, etc.

Changed power supply and video card. Although the total price states $824.88, I will be ordering all the parts after 7/8/13. By then, the price may become $867.88 without tax. With tax, the price will be greatly over budget. I am aiming for about $830.00 without tax and without relying too much on mail in rebates. Suggestions right now would be great!
