Hi there.

I have had a gaming pc for about 2 years, and i really am not liking the performance of AMD.
My specs are here .. (probs abit dated now)

ASRock 970 Extreme3

ASUS HD7850 Series

AMD FX(tm)-6200 Six-Core Processor, 3791 MHz

I think it's time for a change, as I'm not getting the performance i am wanting from the CPU, so i thought instead of upgrading to the 8350 as i have seen allot of bad reviews.

I have a budget of about £350 - £400.
I need a MOBO & CPU.
If i had any computer knowledge I'd have done more research and I'd have another go at picking my hardware again, but i don't so i thought I'd ask you guys if you have any suggestions on what I should be looking at.

I'm hoping they will last me another couple of years at the very least as I'm not made of money :( .

Thanks for reading, and more thanks if you reply!

You would much, much better off going for Intel if you have a £400 budget. The i7 3770k is around £260 and something like the MSI Z77A-G45 Gaming Series Intel Z77 or the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Intel Z77.

I recently went from AMD to Intel, and holy jesus riding a unicorn did I notice a BIG difference.
