I am going to buy a new computer. Was wondering which one was better. Guessing the 510 euro one. but it has 2gb less ram. I am using mainly for playing world of warcraft. want to be able to run at ultra settings. If this is overkill for that i can purchase cheaper ones with worse spec.

I am a complete noob with computers and would very much appreciate your advice. Also wondering if it is possible to get an SSD in one of these as the seller builds computers too sell.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replys. Just again will this run at ultra? its an old game so guessing yes. So 4gb will be grand :)  good good. Thanks for the reply on the SSD. This is before haggling btw. What do you think would be a fair price to offer?

Cant build my own comp as im too scared of ruining something but thanks very much for the links and the time it would have taken you to find them.

you can build your own pc, its really easy. My 11 yr old cousin just finished his all i had to help him with was moving the case around haha. the pc i listed would outperform those almost 2:1 in some cases

a reasonably good 128gb ssd can be had in the uk for under £90

you could ask to have the ssd as the operating system drive and the 500gb left in it for storage

Im in ireland so dont know how much extra i would have to add for shipping. Is it really that easy?? was told you need electrostat band and thermal paste and all this and its easy to break something. 2:1 really?? might be worth the extra 100 euro or so then.

About the 126 GB SSD would i be able to put the OS+WOW believe wow is 33GB? ... Also seems that you guys answer quickly and very well so have to give a big thanks to you for the time taken.. Would i be able to ask on here for support as seen alot of stuff like You also want to disable indexing, and Windows search on it.

If you installed Windows 7 on SSD, Windows 7 already does some optimizations for it.

If you did not enable AHCI in SATA mode in BIOS, you are missing out on the full potential of the SSD. However, if you installed Windows 7 before you changed this, you must enable AHCI drivers using registry editor before you change it in BIOS. What happens if you don't? Windows 7 will lock up during boot.

When talking about SSDs and thats complete jibberish to me

the parts those pcs have are not that great. and thermal paste is a simple pea dot and put the heatsink on, you could use a antistatic band i just use rubber bands

yes wow and the operating system will fit on a 128gb ssd

in truth building a pc is pretty simple if you are at all practical

its if you press the power button for the first time and it doesnt work then it gets interesting

but thats what this forums here for

hardwareversand.de is a good cheap site that ships to Ireland for 18.99. It beats any other site in price for Ireland

never seen parcel motel before

whats the advantage of using that rather than just having it delivered to your house?

is it just because some sites dont deliver to southern ireland?

and they can use a proxy uk postcode so to speak?
