Im planing to buy crossfired 7990s but i think the 8990 is gonna be released soon and i think it would be better to wait for this.
If anybody knows when, it will be good to share the date with us :D

P.S. just the year if possible :p

Considering the 7990 was just released, I'd doubt AMD would rush to get an 8990/9990 on the market anytime soon. If you have the budget for something like that you should either wait for the 8000/9000 series, or get a dual GPU solution from either AMD or Nvidia, Crossfire is kind of messed up right now, though a driver supposed to be released soon. If I were you and I had the money for a 7990, I'd either get a 7990 (though they run very hot, but you do get 8 games with it, which is a plus), or I'd most likely get two 770's in SLI or even a single 780 would be strong enough.

Crossfire 7990 is a horrible horrible idea. The performance is nothing special, there's microstutter issues and, 4 GPU's never work, and it will be plagued by heat and noise problems.

I didn't even realize he said crossfired 7990's, I must've been reading too fast, yeah two 7990's in a single system is a TERRIBLE idea unless you have a crazy good water cooling config, check out this article about what happened when Tom's tried to CF 7990's: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7990-cros...
