If you're building a new system, may as well go Haswell over ivybridge.

You list a 3770k Cpu as an option, and 16gb's of Ram as well. What is the Pc being used for? If it's gaming, there is not reason to step up beyond the 3570k/4670k Cpu and 8gb's of Ram. That Psu seems a little overkill, unless you plan on going SLI in the future. Then I would look around at deals because I bet you could spend a lot less than 170 dollars for a 850w Psu from a good quality manufacturer.

Thanks guys, it's been a few years since I did a build, kind of fell out of the loop. So what benefits does 3570k have over 3770k? Does the 3770k have diminishing returns? I do not think I will going SLI. As far as ram, after 8GB of ram will I not notice a difference in FPS?

Thank you for the quick responses.

Now that you mention the 1150 haswell, How does that compare to the 3570k 1155?

If you're not going SLI, the PSU is overkill. The case is overkill. You can up your GPU. Is there any particular reason that you have a Blu-Ray burner *and* a DVD burner?

Not overkill for gaming. And built with price per performance in mind.
