I have a gaming computer that has an NVidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti video card, and a AMD FX-6100 @ 3.3 GHz processor. Seems decent for gaming, but the problem is that my Power Supply Unit (PSU) is only 500 WATTS, which makes my computer just completely shut off when I'm playing high graphics demanding games. I have to wait a few minutes before I can turn my computer back on.
So I want to purchase a new PSU, but I'm tight on money. I was considering a 750Watt PSU, that costs $49.99; seems good bang for my buck. Would 750Watts be enough to run games like batman arkhan city, grand theft auto iv, without my computer shutting off? Or what if it's shutting off for other reasons? Beats me, but i have to assume its the PSU, since it only shuts off when I'm in the middle of graphics demanding games.
