CPU Starting Problem

I am trying to trouble shoot my AMD Phenom quadcore Processor. I'm having trouble in starting the computer, the power indicator light at the back of the CPU turns on when I turn the AVR on, but turns off when I click the power button at the top of the CPU.. any recommendation? Thanks.

so u get boot up with out the AVR on? and then shuts down once powered on? Maybe u have a short or a faulty product somewhere, attempt to power on without the AVR or any added on components installed if u have integrated graphics then take the gpu out too and troubleshoot the gpu, avr, ram, and if u can see if u can get an extra psu or board.

Easy fix make sure everything is connected properly
