8 GB - enought to disable swap?

Hi.

Is 8 GB of RAM enough to disable swap file and play the most demanding games?

I'd still leave at least a small page file, not sure of any games but their are programs that require/need a swap file, can't remember any off hand, but have run into problems in the past w/ no page file
