Newbie here :)

I bought the following hardware to build a Gaming RIG.

1. CPU: Intel i7 3770k
2. Drives: Seagate barracuda 2 TB hdd, Intel SSD Series 330 180 GB
3. MOBO: ASUS Maximus V Formula
4. PSU: Corsair TX850W Bronze modular (http://goo.gl/c36Pj)

So, I planned to buy

1. 2x8Gb RAM (Corsair 2x8gb ddr3 1866 CL9 CMD16GX3M2A1866C9)
2. ASUS or EVGA GTX 680 Graphics Card

I'm not sure if my PSU can run 2 GTX 680 GPUs also if my motherboard supports these RAM.

I would expect that the RAM is compliant and will work on the mobo (BTW you really should ID the particular mobo model and CPU if you want a definitive answer). 850 W should be able to power a2 X GTX 680 in SLI, but again yuo failed to supply the sufficinet info for a definitive answer.

1. The Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) Model CMD16GX3M2A1866C9 will work on either LGA 1155 or LGA 1150 Intel MOBO's/CPU's.
2. The Corsair Semi-Modular TX850M is the minimum sized PSU for SLI GTX 680's

The question is why the last generation 'new' purchases. I would suggest:
1. Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) Model CMY16GX3M2A1866C9R
2. (PSU) with either GTX 680 or GTX 770 SLI a 'good' 850W is sufficient, but to know conclusively for your full setup use the PSU Calculator inputting your entire system and using 25%~30% Capacitor Aging ; see - http://www.thermaltake.outervision.com/

GPU: Either the GTX 770 or GTX 780, and if the GTx 770 then I personally like the looks and finish of the ASUS GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5 GTX 770 2GB with it's included backplate otherwise the MSI Gaming N770 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 770 2GB
MOBO: ASUS Maximus VI Hero or if more GPU's later the ASUS Maximus VI Extreme ; LGA 1150
CPU: Intel i5-4670K (gaming) or Intel i7-4770K (applications supporting hyperthreading) ; Haswell LGA 1150

Yes, the memory will work. Since, you have a 'K' model (unlocked) CPU there is no reason why it shouldn't work and also the memory speed should come in handy coupled with the CPU. Moreover, I think 16GB (2x8GB) is the perfect amount of memory one needs unless you are running VM's.

You can try other brands like GSkill TridentX, Kingston HyperX or Crucial Ballistix memory. I'd recommend TridentX. Hope that helps.
