Hello everyone, first post on this awesome website!

I just built a new gaming rig and have been looking at the GPU's.

I was looking at the XFX CORE EDITION 7770 or the PowerColor 7870 Myst (Tahiti LE).

I am having trouble deciding which route to go. I will only be playing League of Legends and doing graphics / web design work with some minor video editing.

My question is, would I be dumb to purchase the XFX 7770 for around $110 when it is already a year and a half old, and possible Crossfire 2 of them in the future when If I need more gaming power, OR go for the PowerColor 7870 Myst which I can currently get for $229? I wouldnt really play Crysis or anything of those games. Maybe SC2 and Shogun Total War 2.

Any input would be helpful, thanks in advanced!

edit: My monitor resolution would be at 1680x1050

at 1680x1050, you wouldn't need the hd 7870
the 2 7770s will come on par with the 7870 but going for a single discrete card is better in my opinion
shogun has a huge depth of field so if you want ultra or max, the 7870 will do you good
the 650ti boost in my opinion is also more then enough for that resolution

Thanks guys.. Since I will only be running at 1680x1050 I didn't know if I was wasting money getting the 7870 for $229 and not using it to it's "full potential" - would you say I am wasting?

Which brand 650 ti boost would you all recommend? Also, 1gb or 2?
And is it better than a 7770?

a hd 7850 or gtx 650 ti boost is more than enough
i do however recommend getting a better monitor (i have a 22inch monitor 1680x1050)
also you wouldn't need that powersupply unless you will be getting more HDDS and will upgrade your gpu sometime in the future
remember that 650 ti boost 2gb is more than enough for your needs
