i right now have a pc with the following parts.

videocard = xfx 7970 BE
powersupply = XION power real atx power supply
motherboard = xtreme design motherboard p7p55d-e LX
HDD = desktar hitachi 7,200 RPM 32mb/mo
drive = hp 24x dvd writer hp dvd 1270 i
processor = intel core i3 cpu g40 @ 3.07 ghz
ram = 4gb (i have an 8gb corsair but havent plugged it in since my motherboard & i3 isnt compatible. i tried plugging it in and it wont even pass the windows screen.)

although i can max out ALL the games im playing, its not as smooth as i thought it would be and i think it has to do with the other parts that i have.

i want to change my motherboard, cpu, case, hdd and add an sdd. can anyone suggest specifc products? i want to keep it in the mid range price. i dont want to get too expensive item. sadly i dont have a price range as of the moment since i will be getting this by next month. also ive been eyeing the http://

lets assume thats the one ill be getting. All im doing will be gaming, streaming and heavy loads of files. suggestions anyone? and also ill be overclocking as well.( but im overclocking for sole purpose of learning how to.)

offtopic. my hdd is pretty much making noise. is there something wrong? would a new one be much more softer to the ear?

Video card is good, no change needed.
I think better to look for a 4th gen intel cpu.
May u can purchase an SSD to run ur system on it, for instance a samsung one . That speed up things quite well.
That 8GB Corsair RAM will be perfect.
I dont have experience & knowledge with intel compatible mobos sry..But need a change thats a fact.
As well XION psu is crap..u will need to pick from the 1st,2nd or 3rd tier from this good list:

ok i've been eyeing this.
CASE: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119239

MOTHERBOARD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131821

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116501

any thoughts?

there is no assurance that i will be getting these parts.i still have a month or so to think about parts. now can anyone suggest a lower version of these parts? a cheaper one but with only slight difference.

AND is there anything else should i consider? like accessories in the case? cooling system? i dont plan on making a liquid cooling system since i tend to bring my desktop around. at least not soon. any suggestions in cooling systems?
and also how about this? http://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Accelero-Xtreme-7970-Cooler/dp/B0074VVK52

i5-3570k is the best for gaming+overclocking compared with an ASRock Extreme Z77 4 mobo.
The case is nice, any cooler u pick will fit in. But still dont know which temperatures u wanna reach while overclocking. After an XX Celsius, air cooling wont be able to stop overheating.

Hi - It's the one component in the system that can take other parts with
it when it goes. The wrong part to go "cheap" on.
