New HD reinstall + windows 7 on power up next day "OS not found"

Just installed new hard drive. Installed windows 7 and several programs. Seemed OK but next day, powering up laptop got message "operating system not found". Reinstalled Windows 7 and only a few programs. Powered down and got the same message "operating system not found". Unplugged my external hard drive, restart computer and it booted just fine. What's going on???

i had his problem too....its because your bios is trying to boot from your external hard disk....you should disable your bios from booting from usb or plug your external hard drive after you have logged in into your account....
