I recently purchased an ASUS VG248QE (TN) to go along with my Dell U2711(IPS). I use the Asus monitor to game and the Dell for casual stuff like photography, photoshop, and movies.

The viewing angles on my IPS are clearly better. After purchasing my TN, I noticed that the whites are much whiter on the TN. The whites on the IPS are yellowish. Could this possibly be due to the antiglare coating it has? It's been bothering me a lot lately. Teh hertz are messing with me!

Clearly I'm hallucinating. Can someone give me some advice? I've had the U2711 for a couple years now and the fact that the whites (at least to me) look whiter and more accurate on the TN panel just bothers me.

Thank you.

Asus one uses common white LED back-light ( WLED ), which explains for the white level it has. You can also try to caliber your Dell U monitor to has the best white.
