Will my cpu bottleneck my new gpu?

Hello comunity i have a question i really needed to change my current gpu so i was thinking of buying AMD Radeon HD7950 3Gb so the question is will my AMD Phenom X4 9650 bottleneck it?

Yeah definitely, A phenom X4 is not on the same lvl with a high end vga.

AM3+ cpu will need a mobo with am3+ socket.

Don't know if you understand me i was thinking of putting AM3 not AM3+ into my AM2+ socket which should be supported as i read on forum. So if i put for instance Phenom II X4 965 3.4/4.0 will the 7950 be able to run whitout bottleneck on that cpu.?

What is say ur cpu is not an option for a 7950. New cpu+mobo needed and u wont have problems for a few years.

Get the Phenom2 X4 965 cpu. It will fit in your AM2+ mobo i believe and is better than your current cpu.

It will run ok, but you may not be allowing the card to reach its full potential.
