APU output quality compared to discrete cards

Hi. I am considering 2 similarly priced AMD setups: Gigabyte 970A-D3 + 965BE and Gigabyte FM2A85X-D3H + A8-5600K. The 965BE seems to be more powerful but the A8-5600K has onboard graphics (I don't have much need of graphics power so this may not be such an advantage). My question is: Is the on-screen display (still image) quality from the APU any inferior to that from a graphics card? If they are the same then I guess I will go with the APU. Thanks.

The quality should be the same as a discrete graphics card.

Inferior image quality would generally mean the video out port would be made of inferior quality components.
