Newegg has a great deal on the Asus GTX 660 DirectCU OC for $190 after rebate with a free copy of Metro Last Light.

You can also choose from the Gigabyte Windforce 2x, Zotac AMP!, and the EVGA Superclocked for about that same price.

Here is a Zotac GTX 660 http://amzn.to/1a2SP1x on Amazon. I have to pay tax on my Newegg orders which puts it over budget.

what about hte classic question, nvidia or amd? i love the xfx double dissipation 7870. but the 660's are hard to beat. oh and i liked the asus but it has some bad reviews, i guess thats inevitable with something that has lots of reviews.

You install the same nVIDIA drivers for all variants.

I'd take the GTX660 personally. The 7870 has a tiny lead on average, but nothing big enough that you'd notice. Not worth paying more for.

awesome :D  and i just realized that the 760 came out to....might wait for a better amazon price but idk if its worth the wait. your thoughts? (sorry for all the mumbling just trying to get the best out of my money) and would it be overkill on a i5 3570k? (the 760 that is)

GTX760 is an excellent choice. You might find a better deal somewhere other than Amazon.

760 has the best price to performance in mid range cards. It perform slightly better than 7950

No ur cpu is one of the best for gaming it can handle 780 with out bottleneck

So 760 is a possibilitie. But it's over budget , is it worth it? And it's awesome knowing that I won't bottleneck.

760 and 660 both are toms recomended cards for $250 and $200 respectively

So now its up to u if u can increase ur budget by $50 u will get 20-25% more performance

Get the EVGA http://amzn.to/15J0OZX since it's a bit cheaper. They are both great coolers.

alright thanks guys for all your answers :)  going to get the 760.

The GTX 760, will be a great GPU for you, worth going over the limit $50, it includes GPU Boost 2.0, because it is a part of the 700 series of GPUs. GPU Boost 2.0 basically overclocks itself when it is a certain temperature, which means if you keep it cool you will get better performance overall, like the Gigabyte Windforce edition will keep it very cool and get the FPS in games almost like the 670, which is $100 more. Also, the 760 is geared for the next generations of games, because nvidia has teased it will go well with Battlefield 4 and Call Of Duty: Ghost. This is worth going over by $50.
