Hi all I have just bought a new pc consisting of sli 780s, a 4770 and 16gb ram along with an ssd and hdd with an asus z87 pro mobo - the question is I have the 4770 hooked up to the Intel stock cooler - I have bought a noctua d14 but am not really happy about the size weight and look of it - even tho the performance is suppose to be great - so In short I am looking into water cooling now, in paticulor the corsair h100i I love the look of it and it is suppose to be awesome, now I dont have a problem buying it - but I am a little worried about the saftey of it - what are the chances of things going wrong with a water cooling solution like the h100i, i am just very nervous so if things can go wrong how bad will it affect my components?? how often do these coolers break? and since it is suppose to be a contained cpu cooler it should not leak right?? very nervous about buying it but the temps in my pc are so high right now that I need to install one or the outer. apologies for spelling mistakes its 2 am and I am very tired.

Covertcode, I can only offer my limited experience. I installed a Corsair H50 (I think it was their first one) on an AMD Phenom X4 (mobo was an ASUS M2N32SLI Deluxe), and when I did a major upgrade moved it to my AMD FX8120 on a Sabertooth. Install was easy (watch Corsair's video and any others re. install of your 100i, the printed directions leave much to be desired) and I have had zero, nada, zip problems with it. No leaks, good cooling (I did add a second fan for push-pull affect), and Corsair customer service (if you have questions) is one of the best. I have not read any negative reviews of the 100i. Hope this helps

I have been impressed by the temperature my H50 has maintained on my CPUs. I think you will find the 100i does a wonderful job of cooling your processor.

Unless your in the habit of cutting the tubes yourself, I wouldn't be concerned about the thing leaking.

EDIT: Wow, triple post.
