Hi I have a new pc with a 4670k and a z87-hd3 motherboard. As the temps were reasonably good I decided I want to overclock to 4ghz on the turbo so I did I changed all the turbo frequencys to 4ghz so it doesn't run at it all the time and only boosts to it in games otherwise it idles much lower. I haven't checked the temps yet because I reversed it so I can ask you guys. If i had it at 4ghz turbo and the temps were ok, would it still last at least 2 years?

Thanks

P.s this is with stock cooler that's why aiming low

yes..... the other componements will usually die BEFORE the cpu. "The actual lifespan of the silicon transistors of a consumer CPU is typically in the range of 20-30 years before there is a failure, not 3-4years. It is asssumed by then that the item would be obsolete."
