Keyboard total failure

My husbands Samsung laptop keyboard has stopped working completely. The USB mouse works, but the keys do nothing & neither does the trackpad. He has switched it off/on & completely restarted it, still nothing.
Any suggestions please?

Just to add, it is a Samsung NP350V

He is temporarily using a USB keyboard while we work out the problem.

Do an amazon search for a keyboard replacement for the specific model of laptop your using. a keyboard replacement is pretty simple, you can find instructions online. If its something your not comfortable doing, bring the laptop to a local repair shop and have them do it.

Thanks but we have just managed to restore (or whatever the term is, lol!) the BIOS etc & it now seems to be fine. Not sure what the problem was but it's ok now.
