WronG Vram number in DXDIAG !

Hey guys .

im using AMD 6870 HD 1gb but it shows 730mb of Vram in DXDIAG . in other place ( in adapter settings it shows 1GB & total Avail Graphic mem of 4840 )
& Witcher 2 also showed 732 MB Vram . whats wrong with my Vram ?

rest of the system is :


ASUS P8H77V-LE + i5 3470 + 2x4GB corsair vengeance 1600 + 685Watt Real Power

& im using 64Bit win7 home premium ! & used DXDIag both 32 & 64bit versions

Just ignore DXDiag, it hasn't properly detected the amount of graphics memory on video cards for quite some time now.

If you are looking at an in game system checker like one for Witcher 2, it will often just take the data out of DXDiag, including the erroneous amount of VRAM.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your VRAM, you can check it with GPU-Z, only get worried if GPU-Z is also showing 730MB.

Oh thx alot . no everythin was fine with GPUz & system info too
