Are you asking $200 because of that thread that was up yesterday where the guy said $200? Because that was an accidentally necro'd thread from a year ago. $175 will buy a GTX 660 or Radeon 7870 new which both get GTX 580 performance.

I mean, I'm looking for a second GTX 570 to pair with mine, but I figured used it would get like 2/3 the price of something new that matched it, like a 7850 or a GTX 650 Ti Boost, which go on sale for $125. I don't really get the basis for $200 for a card that was $300 2 1/2 years ago. Is there something I'm missing?

the used GPU market is low. the supply of new tech GPU with acceptable price-points makes it hard to sell a recent
card for a decent recovery. so now the GTX680 ($500 new) is reduced to under $300 used. but also good luck with your sale.

yeah, the visual will only be a best as your weakest GPU in SLI (don't have to SLI)
