Broadwell still likely BGA only...(no sockets)

Broadwell on the other hand which is omitted from the desktop lineup would feature a 14nm die over the Haswell architecture. Broadwell, which would only be available in BGA desktop and mobility parts, would offer compatibility with the Wildcat Point PCH which are presumably the Z97, H97 chipset we saw last month featuring SATA express support and nothing else new. Broadwell would only be available on desktops as a part of Denlow server platform on LGA 1150 socket.

Good News for you though...Skylake is going to be LGA again...in 2016

The article states 2015 for skylake  and its widely been known that intel is skipping Broadwell and releasing a revised stepping of Haswell next year

The roadmap I saw has broadwell in 2015...haswell refresh summer 2014, skylake pushed to 2016.

If that slide is in any way accurate, it may just be referring to the Enthusiast versions of those chips, and not the mainstream models. Haswell E is coming out in 2014, presumably Enthusiast Broadwell would be in 2015 and enthusiast Skylake in 2016.

I. Bye Bye Broadwell? (Till 2015)

Intel's roadmap has long stated that 2014 would mark the arrival of 14 nm chips with the Broadwell die shrink. But multiple rumor sites are showing leaked Intel slides that indicate that the 14 nm node is proving particularly onerous.

Thus for 2014 Intel won't be offering a die shrink, but a breather "Haswell refresh". In some regards this will likely be similar to NVIDIA Corp.'s (NVDA) GeForce 700 Series, which kept the same core designs and process node (28 nm), but rebranded parts, shuffling higher performance parts to lower price points.

Intel's roadmap is for Desktop only...this is not referring to server parts at all...
