bios freeze. Wont boot up

Hi there,

I'ving a problem on pc when i start up. It freezes on bios logo.

I recently install a gtx770 from asus when i start my pc it stuck on bios screen then starts to beep (normal one) than starts beep again (normal) and the third beep (1normal and 2 short).

I dont know what it is. When i put my old graphic card on my pc it starts normal.

P.s:

My bios is update to the last
My old graphic card is gtx550ti
My board dx58so

Please help me fix this

I already did this. I put on the first PCIe x16 2.0 slot but noting.

Might pull the GPU, unplug, reset CMOS, install new card, hook up the power cord to the card, plug computer in and try booting to BIOS (will want to reset time and date)

By clearing the CMOS you mean take out the battery, the jump and unplugget the power for how long?

Just unplug the computer pull the battery for a minute or two, maybe longer, pop it back in and try to boot to BIOS (need to reset the time and date if the CMOS reset)

I did what you said and nothing.i think is because my cpu i7 920.

You have power to the new graphics card? does it do anything, fans spin, etc? May be a dead graphics card or damaged.....your CPU won't have anything to do with it

Yes, i have the power for the graphic card. Mu PSU is Vulcanic 1000w. The fans spin, the light on booth connector is on and it shows me the image of the bios but freeze there.

Might want put in the old card and check, make sure you have the latest BIOS, if getting to the flash screen and freezing may be a BIOS support issue

Im currently using the old card and works normal, no freezing, no beeps. I already have the latest bios. I was reading on other forums and maybe my cpu is bottleneck to the gpu. It cant handle the new graphics. I already bought another motherboard lets see what will happen.

The 920 isn't going to bottleneck a single GPU, hopefully the new mobo will like the GPU better, if not, may be a bad GPU

I got my issue fixed. I have to downgrade my BIOS and the card work, didn't freeze or anything.
