It would be playable but I don't think you would do very good because you would probably drop below 30 fps frequently especially during fire fights. I would upgrade the processor if I were you to a phenom II, or something from the FX series if you have an am3+ motherboard socket

Would an amd a4-5300k
Be sufficient enough to stay at or above 30fps?

The A4-5300k by itself? No the integrated GPU is less powerful than the Radeon HD 7750.

The most powerful integrated GPU is the Radeon HD 8670D. When paired with DDR3 2133MHz RAM it is as fast as a Radeon HD 6670 with DDR3 RAM. How fast is that actually? Halfway between a Radeon HD 5570 and Radeon HD 5670. How fast is the Radeon HD 7750? Basically equal to a Radeon HD 5770. Therefore, the difference in performance is significant.

If possible get a FX-4xxx CPU and the Radeon HD 7750. AMD's Trinity/Richland APUs are less powerful than AMD's FX series. The performance difference in games assuming the same clockspeed between AMD's CPUs and APUs with a graphics card? Probably around 15%; 20% in extreme cases.

You will have to get your motherboard model, or the model of your PC if it's not custom built and go to the manufacturer website and see what processors your board will support.

What if I used an AMD A6-5400K by itself my
Budget is slim.

The integrated Radeon HD 7540D graphics core in the A6-5400k is about equal to the Intel HD 4000 graphics core. That would make it a little less powerful than a desktop Radeon HD 5570 which is not considered a graphics card for games in desktops.

I would say with all graphic settings a low and the resolution set to 1366x768 you should be able to get between 20 FPS and 30 FPS in most situation in BF3.

If you are really on a very tight budget, then getting an A6-5400k would cost less than a FX CPU and a GPU.

You listed that you have a Anthlon x2 279 which doesn't exist, so I'm guessing that was just a typo and you really have the anthlon II x2 270 which would be an AM3 socket. You both keep mentioning AMD APU's which as far as I know will not fit or work in an AM3 socket. I could be wrong, correct me if I am.

No you're correct the AMD APU's we're talking about only fit in the FM2 socket. I am on a slim budget and need to get a good APU that can play BF3 with 25+ FPS on low everything.

Give us an idea of your max budget. For some reason I thought you already owned that computer my bad.

I have salvage parts from old computer and now all I need is an apu for my mobo. Max price is 150.

I only need the processor, it need to work in an fm2 socket and max price is 90. Which is why I think the a8-6400k would be perfect for since it's around that.

You are probably right but I just never recommend playing demanding games like BF3 on anything but a mid range or high end dedicated graphics card. So maybe get that APU then look into adding a nice GPU down the road if your motherboard supports it. I play BF3 on a 7950 boost GPU with an over clocked fx 8320 and the frames drop below where I want them to be during intense action. You might get 30 fps at 720p on low settings with an APU but then suddenly it might drop to 10 or 15 fps when a few soldiers are on the screen. It's not worth playing it like that in my opinion.
