I also suggest you remove the 'answer this' button

from threads that are closed and thus can't receive answers.

And if it is to be useful, make sure it'll still show the button if there are only replies from the thread starter (bumps or updates aren't uncommon)

"Answer This" in the forum listing view? It would only be visible in a single locked thread that had been made a sticky. Otherwise, not many zero response threads end up as locked.
Are there threads you are seeing that are locked that have no answers, that show the "Answer This" button?

only the read it first thread in here (which nobody reads) but I've not been looking for bad layout decisions, I'm just mentioning what I see
