I was looking at the GTX 760 for a computer I'm building, and I noticed they have a 2GB GDDR 5 version for $259.99 and a 4GB GDDR 5 for $289.99 and I wanted to know if it's worth paying the extra $30 for the 4GB version?

Not unless you're playing at a resolution higher than 1920 x 1080p really.

Which would be the case if you had a monitor with 2560 x 1440 for instance.

Or if you had multiple monitors; their resolutions would be added together.

What about for future proofing?
I've never spent $250-300 for a video card before and so I want one that will last as long as possible for the price.

2gb is more than enough for 1080p no game can utilize it completely
gtx 760 is the best bang for buck right now and is a very good card u will max almost every game with that

for now you wouldnt need anything higher than 2gb for 1080p in terms of gaming. but it is "for now", if you can afford the 4gb version ill say go for it, you MIGHT need it in the future

The 4GB is still within my budget of $1,000 (for the total setup) and I am trying to future proof my PC the best I can so if you think it MIGHT help in the future, I'll get it. Thanks!

P.S. This is the rest of my setup (in case anyone was interested), they all arrived today and the GPU/case is all that I need to get.
