Screen Freeze and sound is gone

Hey guys, recently I've been getting a lot of screen freeze when playing a game,
Screen freezes and sound, then screen turns black after like 2-5 sec game goes back on but with no sound I have to restart the game so I can get the sound, I have no clue what's the problem, I've updated my graphic card and sound card.

Its a problem of Graphics Card.. Happened with me all the time.. i guess u have an old ATI Graphics card right ?

No, I have 550 GTX TI Nvidia, I have no clue what's the problem, my friend got the same exact copy of my pc he doesn't have this problem.

No, I have 550 GTX TI Nvidia, I have no clue what's the problem, my friend got the same exact copy of my pc he doesn't have this problem.

Well it happens when ur GPU gets bottlenecked by ur CPU... Try reducing the Clock speed of ur GPU and run ur games at med setting and it will work jst fine...

no matter how much I set the graphics on , eventually it's going to happen, maybe I need better cooling for my graphic card, but I still have no clue why the sound goes off , the game goes back normal but with no sound.
