Local disk "D" turned to local disk "E"

Local disk "D" turned to local disk "E", I bough a internal hard disk 500GB but after i installed it it does not show Local disk "D" but its shows New Volume, have i done it wrong or I have to change it to wat? Thx for helping.

I've had the same issues in the past. After adding or removing drives the drive letter changed.

You can use MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition to change the drive letter.

From the list of drive at the bottom you can rt click on them and then change their drive letters and names. Keep in mind you cant change to a letter being used already nor can you change C: drive.

So if you wanted the two drives to exchange drive letters you have to change D: to X: then E: to D:, and finally X: back to E:
(X: being any unused drive letter)
