cannot detect my ssid on only one laptop

weird problem please help regarding wireless..
I have a hp pavilion g4 lap with windows 7 on it.. i have 2 more laptops and a tablet which connect always wireless without any problem. however my hp laptop connects to wireless only alternative days.. when i search for nearby wifi points, i can see my neighbors but not mine... still simultaneously my other 3 devices are connected brilliantly fine.. im so embarrased with this.. pls help me!!! someone!!!
Steps I have done until now:
Changed ssid
Removed wep
Ensured wireless radio is enabled on netgear router
reset and rebooted router and laptop
PS: I can connect hardwired to netgear and internet works fine..
why cant i find my ssid randomly?

Chances are you may have driver issues. Update your PC model's wireless adapter drivers from the HP website, and see if that resolves your issue.
