No.I think the only card that will work will be the one connected to the monitor.For example if you put a gtx 650 on the PC and a 9600 gt no sli and connect the 9600 gt to the monitor then the gtx 650 will not work.Same way around.Whats your budget?Tell us your specs and we will suggest the best deal for you.
 


Despite what others have posted what you are asking is quite possible but depending on why you want to do it is what will determine if its worth doing.

my specs are amd athlon 64 x 2 5200+, 2x 9600 gt, and m2n sli motherbord and an 400w power suply

the reason why is becuse i`m on a tight budget and i have my 2 9600 and wanted to buy an gtx 650 to it

i wanted more performance an i thought that i cud run the monitor on the 9600 and the gtx 650 do all the work if that is how it works i don`t realy know.
 


No, it doesn't work like that and what you propose will give you no benefit at all and would be a waste of the 650 as it wouldn't be doing anything at all except perhaps in a PhysX title but then it would be being held back by the 9600 so again it would be a waste and the 9600 isn't really up to the job as a PhysX card either so I wouldn't bother trying that myself.
