asus gtx 670 directcu ii top vs asus gtx 770

Im at the verge of choosing between these two GPU's, what does the community think? if i go with the gtx 770 i have a choice between Asus or the MSI GTX770 GAMING TF OC 2GB. Im a graphic designer and just about had enough with onboard graphics. Would the gap between 600 series be that much compared to the 700 series.

Thanks,

  1. Yes, the 770 is miles ahead of the 670, but if you are doing design and running design programs, get an AMD 7950, it performs better in those types of tasks

Could you give me examples where this is true? I most use Adobe illustrator CS6 + Photoshop CS6

Scroll down to the "compute" benchmarks. The 7950 is the clear winner there

Is the compute references really that big of a difference? So which brand would you suggest? Asus HD7950-DC2T-3GD5 V2 or should i just get the Asus HD7970-DC2-3GD5?

The 7950 and 7970 aren't too different in terms of performance. Also for AMD cards the best 3-rd party brand has to be Sapphire, followed by Gigabyte. If you are not overclocking or doing a minimal overclock a reference card will be fine.
