Why do people seem to think they know exactly how big or how small phones need to be? @ Spentshells, who made you the God of phone size? Every size has a purpose. I personally use the Note II and can tell you it's way more effective than the smaller phones for me. I have NO issue fitting it into my pockets or hands. I find it WAY easier to text since I have longer fingers. Why limit yourself and think that everyone else in the world should not have bigger or smaller? Saying I look like an A$$ answering my phone is bogus as well. If you remember, old home phones are way bigger than these are and you didn't hear those comments back then either.

deftonian so you wouldn't think it would look silly if someone had a size of a tablet as a cell phone? good and if they ever come out with a phone that large video tape yourself out in public and post it on youtube.

I frequently use a bluetooth headset with my phone. Of course, those with a Note II are probably the productive type that have about 4 or 5 headset devices laying around anyway, and would need to be interacting with the screen while on a call anyway.... Of course, that's productive people, so it's likely why you commented the way you did.

Dear Spentshells, There are beings called Women in the world. They have these bags called purses. In other words, they don't give a f#ck about compact stuff, and just want something easy to use!

i think this screen seems pretty nice. I usually think that anything over 720p is not really needed on such a small screen but as long as the content you are trying to look at is 1080p then everything is fine. however if everything you look at on mobile sites is not of that image quality then it will look even worse on these screens. plus if internet quality goes up it takes more bandwidth which may effect some just not me (still grandfathered in for verizon unlimited).

and i think larger screens definitely have there place. some people just have a hard time reading things on a small screen and navigating is always easier on a big screen. try clicking tiny links on web pages with a small screen. it is easily done but it is much less tedious on my nexus 7. I wish i could bluetooth by nexus for more than just google voice(well i can forward my calls but without wifi I cannot).

welllll if you can make the entire phone basically a screen and minimize the the top speaker and the bottom notification light, it could actually be SMALLER than my 4.7" galaxy nexus! (galaxy nexus corner to corner is SIX INCHES!)

I work with them 5 days a week so I guess I know about it. I've had a note 2 as well and it's too big to be practical

Also most people unless they were real idiots didn't carry a house phone around with them.

I bet you hate left handed mice also.

you work with phones 5 days a week and you do not own a nice pair of in-ear buds w/ a mic or a bluetooth device.
Do you need reading glasses, because if you did this may change your mind about larger screens (60% of Americans are far-sighted)?
i See so many reasons for a bigger screen,
better for viewing vids, pics and porn, but I understand how 5 inches could make you jealous.

@ SteelCity1981 - No, I would not put a tablet sized device up to my face to talk. I probably couldn't even one hand a 10" tablet. However, I wouldn't say it's too big to be practical because I'm sure some NBA star would love to have a phone big enough they could palm and use. My whole point, which you seemed to miss, was that if there's a market (either big or small) for a phone size, it's not pointless. Larger people would most likely prefer larger phones, smaller people might prefer the smaller phones. People with bad eyes, may love the larger screen, and this goes on and on. People shouldn't limit technology because it doesn't fit their direct needs. You should remember that there are more people in this world with different taste and needs than you.

1 I can use both hands to manipulate a mouse so it doesn't bother me at all
2 5" phone is a maximum without becoming clumsy or you have massive hands because you are over 6'2"
3 I've got enough " to make you wish you were a women.
