Looking for an upgrade on my MOBO

Hey
I have a ASRock 960GM-GS3 FX motherboard and I need/want to upgrade it for the following reasons:

It can only hold to to 8gb RAM (2x4GB).
It only has 4 SATA ports, and I would like 1 or 2 extra.
I will be upgrading my GPU soon and am not sure what this can handle.

If you can offer any good upgrades to this mobo then please do, if you need to know more details to offer advice, just ask below!

I'd look at the 990 chipset, prob ASRock, if not them then Asus or GB

I have an FX-4100 with ASRock 980 which works great. Kind of a budget board, but has all of what you listed. Plus it has an IDE connector (which is why I bought it)
