Raid0 take from sata2 board, will it run as sata3 on a sata3 board

I have 2 sata3 hard drives, Sata2 Raid0 setup on a sata2 motherboard, transfering them on to a sata3 motherboard, MD see the 2 discs as raid0, but runs them as sata2. Should I have deleted the Riad0 then recreated them on the sata3 motherboard. I had to reinstall windows on sata3 motherboard

how do you know its running them at sata2? HDD's can't saturate a sata2 port so you will get nearly identical speed out of them on sata3 ports if thats what you were using to judge the port speeds.
