SSD and HDD combo?

I'm looking to buy an SSD probably with around 125gb, but thats not going to be enough so i'm going to add another HDD. I think i can find two 250gb HDDs in my house somewhere but they are probably going to be quite old and slow so my question is whether i should buy a new one with 500gb or just RAID the two that i find in my house. I want to use my desktop mainly for gaming but i also want to try and start using Linux and I'm not 100% sure how much memory i need for that.

Just RAID the 2 old ones cause your main OS will be on the SSD

And what about games should i put them one the HDDs? And how hard is it to install a RAID system since this is my first build.

Put your games on your HDD cause they're big and an SSD doesn't improve your games.
It really isn't hard to setup RAID and there are alot of videos on youtube explaining RAID.
