cant run 1866mhz ram with my fx 6300 at 4.5ghz

i tried 1.55v and even 1.55v at 1866 and i get error. im at 1600mhz at the moment. my mobo is m5a99x evo r2.0. is there anyway i can make it work?

oh the fx 6300 just doesnt support 1866? wow i wasted my money on the ram then lol

It's probably because you're overclocking. It's harder to get RAM to run at a higher frequency when you overclock.
 
It's not really your fault that you bought the 1866mhz memory since there's so much website hype out there to sell the modules, it would have behooved you to have investigated the 1866mhz claims at AMD itself.

You were just a victim of AMDs fine print and that sucks!

You can run 1866mhz in single channel mode, so just run it as 1600mhz in dual channel mode as you already are.
