Hey all, just have a couple quick questions about my CPU and video rendering. Will I be able to do it well with just a 3570 (3.4ghz), or should I get the 3570k so I can overclock? I should also include I have a radeon 7770, and I'll be rendering call of duty videos to upload to YouTube.

My second question is that is it a good idea to overclock a 3570 (not K version). I've heard people say that with certain motherboards it is possible, like the MSI z7x. So I just want to know if it is possible and if its a good idea.

Thanks!

A non K CPU can't be legitimately overclocked. Moreover rendering needs multithreading. High levels of rendering can only be achieved using a 3770k. If yours needs are less, i5 will be good to go. But go for K version. Highly any price difference between the two.
