Hi everybody,
the motherboard (MSI FM2-A75MA-E35), that I have, has 24 pin ATX power connector and additional 4 pin cpu power connector. My PSU, which is kinda old, has only 20 pin connector with attached 4 pin connector (like in this photo, for example: http://i40.tinypic.com/o56e6w.jpg ). I have read that almost every motherboard should run fine with 20 pin connector, but what about that 4 pin cpu power connector on the motherboard? Do I have to plug that additional 4pin connector (which, as I said, is attached to the main 20pin connector) to it? Or pc should run fine without that 4 pin power connector enabled?

Link for motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... , in the 3rd photo it shows the connector that I'm talking about

P.S. sorry if I made some mistakes :)

if you have 4 additional pins you could try to connect with 24pin if you can it wont hurt. On the other hand I wouldn't probably try to connect with 20pin if I had 24. It may (or may not) damage the motherboard. Hope I helped bro.
