I see that a lot of the builder marathons here on tops and a lot of builds on sites on this site and others use the G.Skill Ripsaw and Ares memory modules. I'm in the process of compiling my build and was wondering what advantage these modules have that they have become so prevalent. Any help possible reasons for this would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time :)

Both are good lines of sticks, Ripjaws have been around awhile, currently there's the original Ripjaws, the Ripjaws X (targeted towards 1155 though fine with all) , Ripjawz Z (targeted towards X79 and again fine with all), the Ares is a newer line and many love it for it's low profile, as with all the Ripjaws lines it too is higher performance and OCs well as does all of GSkill's DRAM...there are also the Sniper models (my number 2 favorite models and the newest, which is my DRAM of choice the Tridents
