i say go with the AMD build. it just has more cores and also a more decent GPU for light gaming.

given the purpose of the system is quite normal daily stuff, i would never pick a dual core when i have a possibility of getting more for the same money because that PC will last longer.

you can have all the single thread performance you like, but a system with higher core count will always be smoother.

and yes, you can have both integrated and 3rd party gpu

You can build a much better build with AMD A8 for the same price. Here it is :

Aiya, I am still struggling. I think I've decided to stick with an integrated graphic card as I have no means on updating anything on the mobo in the future.

its your wish
i would say that getting a graphics car would be better if you dont wanna be upgrading the mobo as if u r upgrading to the other system the card can still be transferred

I understand the desire to have a vote cast for your answer, but please refrain from repeatedly asking the OP (Original Poster) to close the thread by choosing the best answer. The user will get an email that their question thread has not had a best answer chosen, so there is not a need to continually remind them.

Something that i found irritating as well.

Good morning chaps,

I really appreciate the feedback from the community (I have only noticed this forum today). Do you earn XP or something if I click on best answer & close like yahoo answers lol? I just don't want to make same mistake of buying something and then having to find a better one at a lower or slightly higher cost.

Regards.

I said that only once. I think this reply is detailed enough.

since you said "don't want to make same mistake of buying something and then having to find a better one at a lower or slightly higher cost."

i would consider AMD A8-6600K. for 10 pounds more you get a fairly decent speed bump

also maybe Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, 7 pounds more

Ok, what do you guys think of this?

AMD A8-6600K 3.9GHz Quad-Core Processor £82.79
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler £23.62
ASRock FM2A75 Pro4 ATX FM2 Motherboard £60.42
PNY XLR8 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory £38.06
Corsair Builder 430W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V Power Supply £34.64

So I have got my case, monitor, speakers, mouse, keyboard, hard drive and dvd drive.

Noting the above, I do not require graphic card (already integrated), sound and wired network card (already built it). Do I require any additional fans or coolers? Any changes recommended to make price cheaper?

Regards.
